                        Topic #1: "Does violence in media cause violence in "real life"?"

 

• Simply put, yes. Violence portrayed in the media can be a factor to causing violence in real life.

1. Social Cognitive theory: 

• This theory states that people learn through observational means
• How this applies?: People, especially younger groups tend to model behaviors that are observed through different forms of media (social media, television, etc.) for reasons like impressing peers.
